Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outside air, the material is covered with a protective layer of rust. This natural layer of rust forms the protection against further corrosion. This means that you can enjoy the it for a long time.
SPECIFICATIONS:
5 year warranty.
Corten steel planters are very strong, wear-resistant, weather-resistant, low-maintenance and durable.
Including feet (15 mm) and drainage holes. This ensures that the planter floats slightly above the ground and has optimum drainage.
Standard material thickness of the corten steel is 2 mm.

Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of corten steel takes about 4-5 months, depending on the weather conditions. With our rust accelerator you can make the planter rust faster.
Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rusting. Owatrol protects the planter and ensures that the corten steel no longer gives off.
Important points to note:
Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt, so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust spots.
Ensures good drainage.
Do not use an overflow pipe: no excess water may remain in the corten steel planter. The material can then rust through due to a combination of oxygen and soil.
Do not use hydro grains: they retain moisture.
We do not recommend using Corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.
During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
PLANTING ADVICE:
Provide the bottom with a layer of pebbles Ø35 mm sorting (approx. 10 cm).
