Our ponds are coated with polyurea on the inside. This prevents the pond from rusting through. Additionally, our ponds come with a fixed overflow pipe and optionally with through holes.
The colour of corten steel is orange-brown and forms through a natural rust layer. Another name for corten steel is weathering steel: weather conditions have a positive effect on the material.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium are added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material is covered with a protective rust layer. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. This gives the ponds a long lifespan.

Products are delivered unrusted. The rusting process of corten steel takes 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
Key points of interest:
Products must be unpacked immediately upon receipt to prevent any moisture between the packaging and the product from being trapped. This can cause irregular rust spots.
We do not recommend corten steel within a 2 km radius of a coastline.
During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
The warranty is void if drilling or grinding is done in a non-prescribed manner.
