The orange-brown color of corten steel is formed by a natural rust layer. Another name for corten steel is weather-resistant steel: weather conditions actually have a positive influence on corten steel.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outside air, the material is covered with a protective rust layer. This natural rust layer provides protection against further corrosion. As a result, the panels have a long lifespan.

Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture between the packaging and the product is not trapped. This can cause irregular rust stains.
We advise against the use of corten steel within a 2 km radius of a coastline.
During the rust process, rust water may come off the product.
The warranty is void if you drill or grind in a manner not prescribed.
Annual cleaning by rinsing off coarse dirt on the panel with tap water.
