Without further delay, dear reader, welcome to paradise!...

And on closer inspection...

charred timber and cortern steel products

Let us do the walk through together now...

We see that this outdoor space starts with a beautiful path. A very set thing that directs the eyes, the energy and quite literally where people should go. And we also see that our charred timber posts serve as a perfect gateway to the main space itself, providing a defined entrance that, unlike traditional barriers, is soft and unobtrusive. They clearly allow light to filter through which maintains a sense of openness, making it both functional and stylish. They seamlessly integrate into the garden’s overall aesthetic, enhancing the flow and providing a visually appealing transition from the outside world to your personal outdoor haven. And in this case, also melts flawlessly into the architecture of the house itself!

We believe that the use of charred timber, in all the ways that we offer it, is almost a must in any garden. The charred finish and natural beauty of wood with its modern man-made touch bridges the gap beautifully between the constructed and the organic elements of their surroundings. You don’t have to choose between functionality and aesthetics. You really can have it all!

Now, dear friend, let us walk in a little further...

charred timber posts and cortern steel water feature

To the left here, we see the charred timber working in a very similar way as before. Only this time it also acts as a frame that makes this impressive Corten steel water feature stand out in a way that doesn't make it too much on the eye or feel out of place. It is a very simple addition that again defines this first area of the garden without being restrictive.

So close your eyes and listen... to the wind, the birds and the sound of the flowing water.

From decades of landscaping experience, we have found that most people lack the element of sound in their gardens. If you visit a wild outdoor space, one of the biggest things that makes it so different from being a patch of grass in the middle of a city, are the sounds around you. Our water features allow you to bring that valuable element into your own space.

Now imagine that there was nothing there. You’d find that the lack of character and movement that our items bring, would leave a space that ultimately had no use. Even if it was replaced by further planting ground, it would lack personality and even create more work for you on a day-to-day basis. Both the Charred timber posts and the Corten steel water feature are long lasting and for the most part, self-sufficient.

Charred timber topped cortern steel bench

So let us circle around this beautiful outdoor kitchen, making a quick but important stop at this gorgeous custom made Corten steel storage bench with a charred timber top. Before you ask – Yes, the charred timber is completely safe to sit on without ruining any of your lush evening soiree outfits (or your comfy lazy day best!).

This particular bench, houses the pump and electrics for the Corten steel water feature, which in our humble opinion is an absolutely genius design idea! After all, nobody wants to have their work of art ruined by an unsightly piece of equipment. So, we’ve helped to keep it behind the scenes, where it belongs.

Other custom benches that we have made have been used to store cushions for outdoor furniture, children’s toys and even logs. The possibilities are really endless. We love to add extra functionality to our products and make the most of the space wherever and however we can.

Charred timber cladding

And now, dear reader, we move on to the last stop on our wee walk. This lovely Charred Timber wall. Unlike traditional fencing or rigid walls, charred timber panelling provides a softer and more inviting method for separating areas in outdoor spaces. Its warm, rich tones and unique textures add depth and character, creating a seamless transition. Like mentioned before, this material feels like a natural extension of the environment rather than a harsh barrier and even in this more solid example, doesn’t look misplaced.

Using the right amount of repetition in the items around your garden helps to tie everything together and our items are a great way to do this easily (yes, I am a wee bit biased but I really hope that you can now see it for yourself). We choose to produce things that blend well with nature to the point that you can almost fill your garden with loads of our products and it won’t feel or look to be too much but if you choose to only have one or two, it adds a perfect touch of sophisticated functionality.

So as I prepare to leave you to explore on your own, I’d like to thank you for joining us on this tour. Feel free to stick around and admire the sights and sounds further and if you have any questions or comments, we encourage you to get in touch. We have a contact us page, social media or even leaving a comment below can get the ball rolling. Let’s get a conversation or two going and grow this wonderful community of ours even further!
